You may not realize it, but April 11 is National Barbershop Quartet Day in America! We’re celebrating a day late, but we’re featuring some of the greatest acapella harmonies in Kansas on the Smoky Valley Limited! Quartets will be performing in all three of our vintage passenger coaches as our train chugs its way thru the river valley, featuring great food from Broadway Station in Herington. Chef Leann Urbanek is preparing your choice of barbequed pork chops or barbequed chicken breast. Both entrees feature a house salad with ranch dressing, and potato salad and pasta salad on the side. And for dessert? A big slice of pineapple upside down cake. Tea and water will accompany the meal. Our two hour musical adventure begins when the Limited departs Abilene’s historic Rock Island Depot at 6:00 p.m. and includes a stop at the Hoffman Mill and Country Store in Enterprise. Sing along and tap your feet to the best harmony in Kansas on the A&SV’s Smoky Valley Limited!
