The fireworks may be over, but the good food continues as part of your Independence Day celebration on the Abilene and Smoky Valley Railroad! On Saturday, July 5, our Smoky Valley Limited dinner train presents a Kansas classic: a beef fillet cooked to your specifications, with mashed potatoes with cream gravy, cream style corn, coleslaw, and homemade biscuits, topped off with the Brookville Hotel’s old fashioned homemade ice cream for dessert. Iced tea and water accompany the meal, and for an extra charge, beer and wine is available. The train leaves our 1887 Rock Island Depot at 6:00 p.m. for a two-hour journey through the Smoky Hill River Valley that includes a stop in Enterprise, Kansas, at the Hoffman Mill and Country Store. Make this celebration of our nation’s independence complete and ride with us on the Smoky Valley Limited! NOTE: Make sure to include cooking preference for your steak with your ticket order.
