DINNER TRAIN: Holiday Magic on the Smoky Valley Limited

It’s a special introduction to the holiday season on the Smoky Valley Limited! On Saturday, November 15, celebrate the arrival of the holidays with great German food from Schatzi’s Schnitzel Haus in Riley, Kansas, and the greatest acapella harmonies in Kansas!  Barbershop quartets will be performing music of the season in our vintage passenger coaches while you dine and as our train chugs its way thru the Smoky Hill River Valley! Chef Manfred is offering your choice of schnitzel or sauerbraten, with spaetzle, mushroom sauce, and red cabbage. And for dessert? Chocolate Mousse made with a dash of Mozart (chocolate) liqueur. Our two hour musical adventure begins when the Limited departs Abilene’s historic Rock Island Depot at 6:00 p.m. and includes a stop at the Hoffman Mill and Country Store in Enterprise. Sing along with the best barbershop quartet holiday harmonies in Kansas, and, as they say in Germany, “”Frohe Weihnachten” (“Merry Christmas”) on the A&SV’s Smoky Valley Limited!
