Valentine’s Day may be over, but that doesn’t mean that you and your special someone can’t enjoy a nice, quiet, sort of romantic getaway. The A&SV’s Smoky Valley Limited dinner train presents “Date Night on the Train,” an evening on the historic rails of Dickinson County, Kansas, enjoying a great meal with a great atmosphere and great food, Our caterer, Lucinda Kohman of Lucina’s Katering in Abilene, is preparing chicken parmesan, with a strawberry spinach, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, and a basket with assorted dinner rolls. And for dessert? A piece of chocolate layer cake. Iced tea and water accompany the meal. And the price: our “Date Night on the Train” is only $150 per couple. Our two-hour rail adventure begins at 6:00 p.m., leaving from Abilene’s classic Rock Island Depot for a round trip through the Smoky Hill River Valley and a stop at the Hoffman Mill and Country Store in Enterprise, Kansas.
