A new option available on some 1:00 p.m. Saturday trains in our classic Eveland Creek dining car will offer a family-friendly lunch experience for your family! We are following in the tradition of how railroads fed their coach passengers during long train trips. We have several caterers lined up for this season that will provide very special boxed lunches for our passengers to enjoy.
For this trip Abilene’s Brookville Hotel restaurant is preparing the meals. Adult lunches will include two pieces of their classic fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet and sour coleslaw, a biscuit, and a cookie for dessert; the Children’s box lunches will only include one piece of fried chicken). Complimentary iced tea and water will accompany meals. If you want to dine with us, be sure to make your reservations now, as dining is limited to 56 passengers.
