With the kids back in school, how about a little breather? Imagine a great Italian meal and a glass of wine as you roll through the Smoky Hill River Valley in a classic passenger car. On August 15, the A&SV’s Smoky Valley Limited leaves Abilene’s historic Rock Island Depot at 6:00 p.m. for a two hour train ride that includes a stop at the Hoffman Mill and General Store in Enterprise, Kansas. And you’ll be dining on some of Kansas’ best Italian food from Martinelli’s Little Italy of Salina. Our meal includes Martinelli’s classic chopped salad, lasagna and chicken marsala, with broccoli, bread and butter and tiramisu for dessert. Coffee, tea and water are complimentary with your mean, and soft drinks, beer and wine are available for purchase. Treat yourself to a tase of Italy on the Abilene and Smoky Valley, the Kansas Heritage Railroad.
