On Saturday, September 20, the Smoky Valley Limited diner train delights chicken lovers with the Brookville Hotel’s classic country fried chicken dinner. Enjoy pan fried chicken, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, cream style corn, coleslaw, and homemade biscuits, topped off with the Brookville Hotel’s old fashioned homemade ice cream for dessert. Complimentary iced tea and water will be served, and for an extra charge, beer and wine is available. Our two-hour climate controlled adventure begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Rock Island Depot and features a round trip from Abilene to Enterprise, with a 30-minute layover at Enterprise’s Hoffman Grist Mill and Country Store.
