$0 to $90
The Abilene and Smoky Valley Railroad and Abilene’s Great Plains Theater are offering the best Saturday date package in Kansas! Our date includes a great German meal on our Smoky Valley Limited dinner train and a great theater performance. On Saturday, October 4, catch matinee performance of “Much Ado About Nothing” at the Great Plains Theater at 2:00 p.m., followed by dinner on the Smoky Valley Limited dinner train in our classic Eveland Creek dining car at 6:00 p.m. The dinner and theater package is $120 per person and can be purchased only through the Great Plains Theater by calling the box office at 785-263-4574.. But if just want dinner, you can purchase your Smoky Valley Limited dinner tickets at asvrr.org. Either way, enjoy a great meal from our caterer, Scoot Sieben at Kites in Aggieville, Manhattan. Enjoy your choice of chicken teriyaki OR glazed smoked salmon, served over a bed of white rice, with asparagus and dinner rolls. And for dessert? A piece of pecan pie. Coffee, tea, and water accompanies the meal, but for a little extra, have an ice cold beer or a glass of wine!? The train leaves our 1887 Rock Island Depot at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy a taste of Germany as the Abilene & Smoky Valley Limited glides through the river valley for a two-hour dining adventure on the rails of Kansas history! NOTE: If you purchase dinner tickets without the theater performance, you will be assigned to the Chicago and Enterprise cars, as the Eveland Creek car has been reserved for Great Plains Theater patrons.
