The Labor Day holiday is summer’s last hurrah, and that’s why the A&SV Smoky Valley Limited is featuring our second Labor Day train, an old-fashioned fried chicken dinner! Jeffrey Higgins of the Brookville Hotel in Abilene brings you old fashioned pan fried chicken, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, cream style corn, coleslaw, and homemade biscuits, topped off with the Brookville Hotel’s old fashioned homemade ice cream for dessert. Complimentary iced tea and water will be served, and for an extra charge, beer and wine is available. Our two-hour climate controlled adventure features a round trip from Abilene to Enterprise, with a 30-minute layover at Enterprise’s Hoffman Mill and Country Store.
