DINNER TRAIN: Murder on the Smoky Valley Limited

Kites of Manhattan

Saturday, May 17
  6pm
$0 to $120
Hey, super sleuths! The Smoky Valley Limited needs your help in solving a murder mystery! On Saturday, May 17, passengers in our Eveland Creek dining car will use their powers of deductive reasoning in solving a mystery where anyone can be the heinous villain! Join us as we present “Tommy Guns and Cigarettes: Married to the Mob.” While the mystery happens in the Eveland Creek car, all three coaches will be treated to a great dinner from Chef Scott Sieben of Kites in Aggieville Manhattan. Enjoy your choice of spaghetti and meatballs OR shrimp alfredo, with a house salad, garlic toast, and green beans. For dessert? A piece of Kite’s raspberry cheesecake. Complimentary coffee, tea or water will be served, and for a little extra, enjoy a glass of wine of a cold beer. Our two-hour rail adventure begins at 6:00 p.m., leaving from Abilene’s 1887 Rock Island Depot for a round trip through the river valley and a stop in Enterprise, Kansas, at the Hoffman Mill and Country Store. It’s Kansas’ favorite “who done it” on the rails of the Abilene and Smoky Valley Railroad!
Named after legendary Kansas State athlete, Keith “Kite” Thomas, we’re keeping his tradition alive as Manhattan’s most legendary establishment. For alumni, this means revisiting old college glory days, while for new students, this means living them out now.

Whether you're just visiting, coming back as an alumni, or coming in as a current student, you should always "Meet Your Friends at Kites!"
