As summer winds down and you’re looking for that one last outing, come to Abilene and take the train to Enterprise! Our A&SV 1945 ALCO diesel locomotive will provide the power as your ride in the open air or in one of our newly painted, air conditioned passenger cars: a 1946 Chicago Northwestern 400 Streamliner Coach and a wooden passenger coach built for the MKT Railroad in 1902. Board the train at Abilene’s historic Rock Island Depot for a two hour trip through the Smoky Hill River Valley! At Enterprise, we’ll have a 30-minute layover, where you can tour the Hoffman Mill and shop in our country store that features several varieties of home-ground flour.
