“Buen Proveco” (Enjoy Your Meal):
A Cinco de Mayo feast on the Smoky Valley Limited!

Cinco de Mayo (the Fifth of May) is celebrated in America with parades, street parties, and—of course––great food! The Abilene and Smoky Valley Railroad is proud to present our very first Cinco de Mayo celebration on our famed dinner train, the Smoky Valley Limited! We’re running a special Sunday afternoon train on May 5, with a Mexican-inspired menu from Kites of Aggieville Manhattan. Join chef Scott Sieben, as he presents a taco platter featuring pork carnitas and shredded beef tacos, refried beans, and Mexican rice. Chips and salsa will be your appetizer. And for dessert: churro with caramel sauce. Iced tea and water will be provided, but for an extra cost, popular domestic beers and wines, Mexican beers including Modelo and Corona, and even margaritas will be available for purchase. Your two-hour train adventure leaves Abilene’s historic Rock Island Depot at 2:00 p.m., featuring Mexican music to accompany your meal as we glide through the Smoky Hill River Valley.

“Feliz Cinco de Mayo” (Happy Cinco de Mayo) on the Smoky Valley Limited!
